Open Position: Inside Sales Representative

Title: Inside Sales Representative

Department: Fragrance Sales

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm


Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the following:

  • Developing new business opportunities and servicing existing business.
  • Assisting Outside sales rep as needed
  • Managing customer database, identifying and qualifying new leads, initiating communication, and ensuring follow-up is done in a timely manner
  • Using strategic analysis to determine potential profit and costs associated with opportunities
  • Maintaining awareness of industry trends as well as fragrance trends. Effectively presenting and articulating product features and benefits. Utilizing consultative approach to evaluate and understand customer’s business and needs.
  • Reporting sales activity using company CRM
  • Managing Knowde/PCP leads. Execute a daily routine of strategic territory management.
  • Sending a monthly report to marketing regarding inquiries coming from [email protected]
  • Building long-term relationships with clients to support them in their endeavors to create new fragrances, using our products effectively and offering customized solutions 

Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology and/or business is preferable
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and a persuasiveness to negotiate and close sales are required
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, MS Excel/Word, and ERP
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with a serious work ethic, positive attitude and exceptional creativity and innovation.
  • Some travel may be required to meet with customers and attend trade shows
  • Ability to create short term/long term strategy for success
  • Expertise using LinkedIn/other online platforms – search new contacts
  • Reliable, predictable attendance is required
