Trending Summer Body Mists
July 8, 2024 | TRENDS
Body mists are back in the spotlight and are offering consumers a lighter alternative to EDT’s and EDP’s for muggy summer days. According to Harper’s Bazaar, Google searches for body sprays increased 9.8% compared to last year, and the #bodymist hashtag now has more than 1.4 billion views on TikTok. Body mists are contributing to the layering & customization trend, appealing to new audiences, and exploring modern notes in comparison to the mists that were popularized in the early 2000s.
Layering & Customization
A Mintel study found that 65% of consumers are familiar with the concept of fragrance layering, and 34% actively practice it to create a unique scent. Body mists contribute to the layering trend by offering consumers lightweight options to add onto their everyday fragrance for a signature scent. Fine’ry leans towards bright and clean notes of bergamot and moss with their popular mist ‘Before the Rainbow’.
